Restraining your emotions and, for example, taking a deep breath, relaxing or explaining to yourself that anger does not give you anything, does not mean awareness, it only means that you assess yourself in anger, evaluate, i.e. reject / do not love yourself in anger.
Of course, shouting on another person means that you are trying to transfer your problem on that person, but restraining your anger affects your health.
If you get angry, you can then apologize to the person for raising your voice, but anger leads you to yourself. You may say something in anger that will guide you to understand what hurts and then you’ll be able to transform it.
A conscious person does not suppress anger, but is mindful of himself in anger, because what he says in anger is an element of self-awareness.
